Hi all,
[link]I did a colored image for the first time in a while. It's FAR from done, but I need some suggestions and advice. This picture isn't quite what I hoped it would be, mainly because I don't know how to tackle the blending on the face and the hair strands.
So two things:
1) Anyone know of any hair textures that would work perfectly for her?
2) Anyone where I should apply blending to her?
Any help you can give would be most appreciated!
Some shameless gloating: My tablet is isn't working properly... so I did this painting with nothing than the tiny tiny mousepad on my laptop

. 9 hours for something like this is a lot more time spent than I'd care to admit

...
Until Next Time,
Markus

I'm really glad that you liked it, it's one of the lesser looked at submissions in my gallery
Many thanks!

Many artists tend to paint with lines, but its the artist's use of edges -- not lines -- that makes art fascinating. To me, at least.

I know it seems strange, but this HTML code is valid on DA. So here it is:
< sub > your words here < /sub >
(without spaces)

Can you show it to me? Pleaseeee?

BTW, there's another method, if you use Firefox just evidence the small text, right click, source selection, and you'll see the code.
Once you've seen it,
just put it on your comments, at the beginning and at the end.

(Btw... how do you talk in that really small font here on DA?

No bird soars too high, if he soars with his own wings.
I've seen tens of hundreds of artists on here and they all make the same indifferent expression. I suppose often artists do that for a "timeless" feel, but I don't know. Anytime I see stuff like that so widespread in people's artwork, something else becomes evident in the art: apathy. It could just be me though...
When I saw your artwork, I must say I was quite thrilled to see something so refreshing. It was really art that broke away from this insane apathy I always saw and showed all the expressive emotional layers that people have underneath.
Always a pleasure looking at your work! Hope to see more soon.
